Q- Looking back on your training, what was the most valuable skill or knowledge that you acquired?

A- The skills I acquired were time management (I understood the importance of keeping to time), and note taking (jotting down important information while on the training which I also applied on my job).

I also realized the importance of understanding the CONCEPT of what my Job role entails and applying it on the job. As well as sharing my thoughts and ideas while on the job.

Q- How has the training you received helped you in your career?

A- It has helped me understand how to manage people and situations better at work.

Q- How did the training prepare you for challenges you faced in your career and how did you overcome it?

A- The training made me realize that challenges never stop, but I can always understand better ways to manage challenges instead of reacting negatively.

Q- Looking back, what would you have done differently to further your career and what advice would you give to someone who is considering enrolling in a similar training program?

A- I would say to study more, be more proactive, be loud about what you can do, and be fearlessly confident. These are the same things I would say to anyone who wants to join the WAVE training as well.

(Cafe Neo) which was where I did my job shadow(internship) and was employed full-time afterward.

Her story is inspiring. I feel motivated. She is a young girl who at a tender age knows what she wants and she is working towards becoming her dreams.

I really love the transformation that Wave is causing in the lives of the young people. Mary's experience just stands out. She is more equipped to live. This and more is what young girls especially need to compete favorably in Nigeria. Apart from the people that are in Lagos state, how can youths from other states participate in this training? How much does the training cost? Before I go, I really appreciate the leadership of West African Vocational Education. God richly bless you. Thank.
