Last month, we were live at the ENERGIZE career fair organised by Nigerian Energy Support Program in collaboration with Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Associations-Alliance (REEEA-A) with support from us in implementing the career fair. The fair had participating companies that had several positions they were looking to fill and it was an opportunity to learn about the plans for the energy sector and factors. We had speakers from the organizers and NEMSA (Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency) One of the masterclasses was on the potential and opportunities in the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency sector in Nigeria. The expected growth in the energy sector means that more people are needed to fill the emerging roles and they need to be adequately prepared for it. It is estimated that there are 800 people in the energy sector and the growth is expected to be 30,000 in a few years. Roles like project managers, project engineers, researchers, M & E officers, business development, technicians are some of the opportunities available. It was a call for young people to become aware by of opportunities in the energy sector and forge a path for themselves in it. Young people who participated in the fair attending our CV clinic which allowed them get reviews about their CV review by members of the WAVE team. It was also an opportunity to interact with employers in the energy sector to understand their recruiting needs and work with them in that regard. Ifeoluwa's admirer❤️
Her story is inspiring. I feel motivated. She is a young girl who at a tender age knows what she wants and she is working towards becoming her dreams.

I really love the transformation that Wave is causing in the lives of the young people. Mary's experience just stands out. She is more equipped to live. This and more is what young girls especially need to compete favorably in Nigeria. Apart from the people that are in Lagos state, how can youths from other states participate in this training? How much does the training cost? Before I go, I really appreciate the leadership of West African Vocational Education. God richly bless you. Thank.
