WAVE IS 8!

I am excited as we celebrate our 8th anniversary. Despite the challenges of the last 18 months, we have so much to be thankful for and to be proud of.

CELEBRATING THE PAST

In the past year, we launched the WAVE ONLINE ACADEMY which caters to youths across Nigeria and other West African countries. To date, we have graduated over 3,800 young people across our 4 academies with 70% of them either in full-time employment, self-employment or full-time education.

In our bid to innovate and give youths other opportunities to improve their incomes and livelihoods, we launched our first entrepreneurship training program graduating over 40 youths who owned small businesses.

Over 50% of these young entrepreneurs have had their business improved and incomes transformed within 3 months of completing the training.

Our growth partner pool has grown to 42 partners who have collectively trained an additional 50,000 youths and counting.

IT'S ABOUT THE PEOPLE!

To our 3,800 and counting alumni, thank you for trusting us for all these years and taking a chance with us. We are honoured to have your trust and we will continue to work tirelessly to exceed your expectations.

To all our partners; with the work that we do, we recognise the importance of establishing collaborative partnership that brings extraordinary value to both WAVE and our alumni.

To TeamWAVE; I am grateful for the opportunity to work with talented, dedicated and passionate people every day. Your commitment to put WAVE 1st, our stakeholders 1st and to live our values have been integral to WAVE's progress and success.

SHAPING THE FUTURE!

As we celebrate 8 this year, we are entering a new phase as we continue to tackle youth unemployment through innovative solutions which utilise technology to scale our impact. We are creating new service offerings for our alumni, transforming our operations, improving our partnerships experience and continuing to deliver value to all our stakeholders.

The journey has not been easy, It takes courage, passion, boldness and perseverance. Join me as we celebrate our 8th anniversary. 3 hearty cheers to team WAVE, WAVE alumni, our partners and friends who have helped us move closer to achieving our vision of a world where every young African has the skills and opportunities to become what they imagine.

Let's continue to shape the future together!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Ifeoluwa's admirer❤️
Her story is inspiring. I feel motivated. She is a young girl who at a tender age knows what she wants and she is working towards becoming her dreams.

I really love the transformation that Wave is causing in the lives of the young people. Mary's experience just stands out. She is more equipped to live. This and more is what young girls especially need to compete favorably in Nigeria. Apart from the people that are in Lagos state, how can youths from other states participate in this training? How much does the training cost? Before I go, I really appreciate the leadership of West African Vocational Education. God richly bless you. Thank.
