Godwin Udobassey is a University graduate who was frustrated due to unemployment issue. He tried seeking a job but lack of funds for transportation along with his lack of self-confidence affected him from getting a well-paid job. Prior to WAVE, Godwin had been employed in different firms; four in financial institutions and one in a consultancy firm where his average salary was between the range of N35, 000 - N65, 000. He heard about WAVE from an alumnus, Mr Bassey and his strong belief about getting a job through WAVE inspired him to enroll for the programme. During the training exercise, his most significant challenge was the transport fare because of the distance; he lives in Alagbado but he overcame it by borrowing from friends. He did his job-shadow at The Orchid Bistro Restaurant Ikeja where he learnt the essence of trustworthy, and how to think fast in a difficult situation. When asked what he acquired from WAVE, he said "time management, system thinking and meeting new people" have helped me a lot and appreciated the efforts of WAVE for bringing out the skills in him. Godwin Udobassey likes putting his best in his job and advises WAVERS to be hardworking and prayerful.

Godwin Udobassey's long time goal is to own a bakery.

Ifeoluwa's admirer❤️
Her story is inspiring. I feel motivated. She is a young girl who at a tender age knows what she wants and she is working towards becoming her dreams.

I really love the transformation that Wave is causing in the lives of the young people. Mary's experience just stands out. She is more equipped to live. This and more is what young girls especially need to compete favorably in Nigeria. Apart from the people that are in Lagos state, how can youths from other states participate in this training? How much does the training cost? Before I go, I really appreciate the leadership of West African Vocational Education. God richly bless you. Thank.
