Position Description: Foundation Manager

TheFoundation Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running ofthe Foundation’s programs and operations. She will oversee Foundation office andprogram management, ensuring effective design and delivery of programs andseamless coordination of all aspects of the work of the Foundation. TheFoundation Manager will report to the Founder.

Office Management Responsibilities

-    Develop, implement andmaintain administrative and financial systems and procedures to ensureeffective management of the foundation

-        Develop operating plans andbudgets to support programs of the Foundation

-        Monitor cash flow projectionsand report variance

-       Ensure up to date financialrecords

-     Design and implement record keepingprocedures, including paper and electronic filing systems and ensure systemsare up to date

-       Ensure proper recording andfiling of all Foundation correspondences and transactions

-       Ensure adequate supply ofoffice, training and production inventories

-       Negotiate costs andtimescales with vendors and other resource people

-       Facilitate timely payment ofvendors

-       Develop and ensure adherenceto safety protocols on Foundation facility

-       Supervise management ofFoundation website, social media and other electronic platforms

-       Manage all full-time andcontractual personnel of the Foundation

-       Coordinate personnelactivities to ensure maximum efficiency

-       Oversee proper maintenance ofFoundation office and equipment

Program Responsibilities

-       Participate in the design,development and delivery of all Foundation programs and events

-       Develop, update and maintaindetailed schedule of Foundation trainings, production and other events

-       Lead outreach and participantselection activities for all events

-       Lead all aspects of planning,implementing and evaluating of training delivery and other outreaches of theFoundation

-      Ensure development, reviewand maintain comprehensive records of all program participants and theiroutputs

-       Develop database ofprospective facilitators and resource and manage schedule of contracted resourcepeople

-       Supervise sourcing of programsupplies, as well as production and distribution of Foundation branded items

-       Ensure programs andoperations are managed within authorized budgets

-       Ensure proper maintenance ofdetailed database of clients, facilitators, agency partners and vendors

-       Participate in fundraisingactivities, including grant writing and donor meetings

-       Prepare activity, program andfinancial reports as required or directed

-   Ensure delivery of overallprogram and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of theFoundation

-       Represent the Foundation atmeetings as needed

-       Other duties as assigned byFounder

-       Strong organizational skillsincluding ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments

-       Excellent program planningand implementation skills

-       Time management and problemsolving skill

-       Strong interpersonal andcommunications skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups ofpeople

-       Ability to foster acooperative work environment

-       Excellent writing skill


-       Bachelor’s degree required

-       Three to five yearsexperience in a supervisory role

-       Experience preparing andmonitoring budgets

-       Must be Microsoft officeproficient
